Will the topic of the Shush patrol be raised during renewal? Why did they not have it this past summer as a condition of their license? What about the illegal back bar expansion to the South and the 10 foot High fence. Will that be allowed to remain in place post Covid? Rumor has it that the Djais boys allegedly really liked the parking lot set up and would one day love to see a grotto there like the Headliner has with pool.
If the ” Tall Wall” is too Tall it really doesn’t matter what its lined with it ? It’s still to tall ( per town code) and would need a variance to be allowed to stay. See that’s the thing if you want to add something to the property be it a fence , lighting or whatever it needs to be approved by the planning board you cant just go build it. When they bring back the parking lot next will they put in the handicap spaces that are required ? Always wonder why they did’nt have be ADA compliant ? It is also way past time for the town to start charging for parking on Ocean Ave until 2am ,we could use the revenue.
If at first you don’t succeed try try again. Just because the grotto did not come to be before what makes you think they will not try again? Seems like that approach worked to get them the expanded license over the winter thanks to their buddies in Trenton.
#2 thanks for the comment Mrs. Sementa. What about the Shush Patrol? What about the fact that the 10 foot high fence is a code violation? The sound deadening materials you refer to did not work just look at some of the videos on this site. Will the giant beige shipping containers – never approved to be there in the first place – be moved back to their original location further north or will this now be the beer garden’s new expanded footprint?
Well all of DJ’s political $upport surely paid off with that off season license. Tonight they are hosting an event for Democrat Assemblyman Wayne Deangelo.

the proposed D’Jais liquor license is silent with respect to the 14 additional off-season dates the licensee is entitled to operate.
