Typical Matt Doherty. This is an ordinance he said Belmar needed. Now he wants to change it because if he doesn’t, he’s breaking his own law. Odds are he’s already is in violation of this Belmar ordinance.

Actually these rules pre-date Matt’s tenure on the council.

Please use the comments on the resolution consent agenda time to request that Belmar officials comply not only with Belmar law ( the lease they signed with Summertime Surf LLC in 2014, but with the State requirements, lAWS AND RULES. In 2015 this administration allowed the lease to move its for profit company ( see their website: http://www.summertimesurfllc.com) to use and take over a free public park ( L-Street Beach ), while only leasing and authorized to give stand up paddle board lessons and camps at a designated area at the southern tip of another park , Maclearie for an annual sum of $500.

Minimum bids for this surf/yoga/skim boards/paddleboard, should be a minimum of $3,000 opening bid per location.why do we have to be bothered with these $500 nuisance programs?

I see no mention of the promised attendance of a representative from Maser to address concerns of residents and, especially of Magovern and Brennan, who voiced concern regarding Maser’s project managing the pavilion construction. They voted ‘yes’ depending on the appearance of such a person, as I recall. What gives? Did the mayor and Colleen mis-speak? Can they trust the mayor to keep his word? I certainly do not.

Is it me or has anyone else noticed the town meetings are not to hear and consider resident opinions. Just to hear what Matt (when he’s ready to let us know some of the info) decides and the space cadets sitting on the dais readily agree with him. Do you really think any request to follow the law will matter to Matt.

Even when someone points out blatant irregularities at a meeting, they are ignored. Why doesn’t the attending attorney speak up? You would think he should want the Ts crossed and Is dotted, would want the administration to follow the law. Will the new attorney fail us as well?

#9. I will afford Mr. Magill our new borough attorney all trust and respect. When possible I will address him and ask questions. However, he must respects the public as well and at least advise the BA and elected officials on the law. A great example of a poorly written and unresearched resolution is the paddle board lessons and camp. Should it be that he approved it and its wording, then he might as well be Mr. Dupont.
