Please don’t tell me ordinance 2020-32 CONFIDENTIAL ASSISTANT “ is what they are calling Huismans position? $35,000 to $90,000 and they are starting him at $83,000. These people have to go including Kirschenbaum. Sickening
This is a way above average mistake to hire that guy. Does not have a license.
Everyone join in Zoom and let ur voices be heard! Outrageous abuses of power and lets vote them all out ASAP!!!!
Yes myself or anyone who gets through on the zoom meeting needs to ask if this position was created to hire Huisman to avoid testing and going through proper hiring procedures. If so, Walsifer, Brennan and the whole administration needs to go. And especially BA Kirschenbaum! Go Jerry
I voted for Walsifer because of my complete disdain for Matt Doherty and his administration. But this hiring of Huisman under the guise of confidential assistant is a slap in the face for everyone it affects. No one to blame here except the Walsifer administration.
About the free boats slips, I don’t know. But I think it needs to be looked into and an explanation needs to be given.
I will be voting independent in November.
#5 Me also
institutional knowledge can be priceless if Isaias turns into a Sandy
Well we shall see tomorrow night which nut-less committee person(s) have the audacity to vote for this Confidential Assistant scam. Or will they just not show up for the meeting? Either way, vote them all out the same way we got rid of the Doherty admin. Oh wait, there is still two still left here from that nightmare. Vote them out too.
I worked the marina. All of the free docking accusations are true and Campbell allowed it. I will tell the truth if asked.
Whoever gets to ask the mayor about this at the meeting you can bet he will lie to cover all their butts.
If these accusations are in fact true then I deserve free life time supply of aspirins. Amen
Now they are trying to force out another supervisor to justify the hiring of Huisman. DPW morale is busted due to cronyism.
Attention! Power outages all over. Call in the boro electrician!!
Wait!! He doesn’t have a license!!
This is the type of thing you get when you put inexperienced, untested men who have lived their lives without a real trade in charge. They have no loyalty to the people they’re dealing with through actual work and have no idea of a man with a calling who’s been there all the time who’s owed the job. So they go ahead and cheat that good man. After all, in their way of thinking, the only meaning of work is the acquisition of money – end of story.
#14 Are you saying being a police officer is not real work? Just asking.
#15 – Sir, police work is not productive work. It takes productive work/private enterprise to pay police. While yes, police pay taxes, their tax dollar depends completely on the tax dollars of the citizenry of the private sector – is that helpful?
#15 No you didn’t answer the question. Yes or no
#15 With that logic, DPW and paid firefighters are not real work.
Proud of our Belmar Police. Individuals serving in this capacity are extremely productive in all that they do. Our family has had to call on members of our police force, and they have been helpful in every respect. To infer that police are not productive is so wrong. But 16’S message is not clear. No logic involved in that post.
16-Police work is not productive? Are you kidding?? Solving crimes-big and small-, arriving at the scenes of accidents, arriving at the homes of people being taken to hospital emergency rooms to offer assistance, making well-home checks on senior residents, helping people get into their homes when have been locked out, covering major town events such as the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, presenting school programs so that children get to know the duties of police officers.
16-In response… police work is not productive?? Police officers solve crimes, big and small. They are the first to respond to a health emergency before first aid arrives, police officers do welfare checks on the elderly, they escort people crossing major roads, they oversee major events like the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, they oversee the boardwalk and beach during summer months, and they respond quickly to any issues/problems reported..they also act as crossing guards for schools , and do presentations for school students about police work. Not productive? Once again,.you are way off base, Mr. Dilberger..
Police keep the peace, and respond to major and minor emergencies. They do traffic control when special events are held. Police are proactive as they attempt to keep communities crime-free. Law enforcement is essential to all areas of the country-from the smallest town to the largest city.
Mr. Dilberger seems to value only individuals who do hard labor. While that type of work is certainly necessary and respected, he should take the time to learn about other types of employment . Police hold the safety of residents in their hands.
They develop and implement strategies to ensure that safe environments prevail in communities throughout the country. I’d call that productive!
#22 – Sir, not that I’m a wordologist like so many edumacated people here but the word productive has to do with a product, – a tangible end result – something you can see and touch – that takes up space, etc. None of which has to do with police work.
——————————–
If there is a “product” involved, it is the creation of the criminal. So society hires a policeman because of the criminal. The so-called “product” is due to the criminal behavior.
——————————-
“Police hold the safety of residents in their hands.” – Wrong sir. As Americans, “Safety” lies always in our own hands.
23-Check the definition. Product can also mean service. Safety goes hand in hand with police work . Can’t see it any other way. Police are hired to uphold peace and safe environments in communities. Can’t separate police from the word safety. Certainly, people have to look out for their own well-beings. But overall, the words safety and police are almost synonymous.
23, Police ensure that people follow the rules of safety within communities. That’s what they do.
Product is the creation of the criminal?? ( words of 23). What’s behind that thinking?
