UCrawl: We’ve Done 30 Events Already……

And Belmar was the only one that required a permit.

……..But it also deprives Belmar of an event that could have brought business to the town during the tourism off season. And it left organizers scratching their heads, wondering why after more than 30 events, only Belmar has raised a red flag.

“This is the first time this has ever happened to us,” said Max Lowy, who owns UCrawl.

Belmar does not need anymore booze events. Good luck and continued success in Asbury Park and Red Bank.

People drink. Some people drink to excess. Some just moderately. In myself and my wife’s case, we go out twice a week to Jacks and have our two short beers and call it a night. Everybody’s different.

Unfortunately, this article failed to mention that Mayor Doherty also banned Shore Point Distributors from the San Genaro Festival in September and the Oktoberfest held in early October, not just the Seafood Festival. Is there public record that show permits for all the other crawls the town has had,ie Pirate,Onsie, Red Solo Cup just to name a few or does he really have it out for Shore Point?

Uh We have had enough drunks walking the streets for this year. Remember St. Patrick’s day parade is only 5 & 1/2 months away. Let’s try and have a really quiet fall and winter.
