Between this and the sewer system leak. Belmar has been getting some bad pre season media coverage.

#3 – While I don’t think Matt was a good mayor, I know there are worse. To me, he was/is just another poor guy going along in life trying to acquire money without doing any honest work. Down the road, people like him come up against their own hard times, however those hard times manifest themselves.

@#5: I think it’s fair to point out that dozens of mayors led their towns through post-Sandy recovery, many far sooner than Belmar, some with far greater damage, without repeatedly violating the law. Im sure you’ve heard, the end doesn’t always justify the means.

Belmar Residents and owners of property: Those of you who voted for Doherty and his hand picked, all for the FREE Kool-Aid ride must now acknowledge that it’s time for YOU to pay the PIPER for Doherty’s FREE Atlantic City big deal job.

IT’S GOING TO COST A 20% TAX INCREASE BECAUSE YOU DRANK DOHERTY’S FREE RHETORIC! Thanks for the memories.

Tom Brennan was part of this charade and now he’s Council president. Great job by the new administration.

#6. I agree with you. I was just being sarcastic in comment #5. As you know, Anyone that dared speak out against the previous admin was always stated to be against recovery. I would love to hear a statement from the former Mayor. I saved all those negative election flyers stating the Republicans and independent were against recovery. What’s the excuse now? Only can be that the courts are against it too ;).
