Retired, beautiful, talented Kathleen could put the Borough of Belmar on the straight and narrow plus marketing magic to boot.

Let’s be honest….we already know the Queen of Mean has the job, they legally have to post the position. I hope everyone in town is not going to fall for the “consultant” garbage. That’s just a ploy, so when she is hired they can say well the consulting firm told us the Queen of Mean was the best fit.
Wake up Belmar, it’s more of the same. Lies, Lies, Lies and more lies!!!

#5 You are 100% correct. Connolly has been training for this position for a long time. While getting paid of course. This is just a con game. If anyone applies with one day experience they would be more qualified than her. Connolly needs to go. Period.

If Robbin Kirk leaves before the election and Colleen is hired isn’t she instantly and automatically tenured? I’m afraid we’d be stuck with her. I think the best chance of getting someone new is to beg Robbin to stay till Dec. 31

McGovern deliberately will sink the democrats frI’m winning in November. Connolly is caustic at this point. She has an employment future in Insurance plaintiff and defence Risk Management.

This administration has screwed the taxpayers in so many ways. All the lawsuits, pavilions, Salt, 10th Ave Freezeout, Lifeguards, and that’s without even thinking. Dirty Doherty is gone but his stench will remain for a long time. Complicit Connolly has to go. She is nasty, rude and unprofessional. If McGovern wins and keeps her, Belmar is doomed.

I honestly don’t think there’s any way Brian will win the election. The residents can’t stand Colleen, and the boro employees despise her. She’s a liar, she’s nasty, she’s unprofessional, and she’s bad for the town. She’s made the boro employees dread going to a job that they’ve loved for years, and she’s pissed off and insulted most of the residents. She’s done a lot of shady things that people don’t even know about….yet. Brian won’t get rid of her, and because of that he’ll lose the election.

#13 well consider Belmar doomed. Connolly already has the job. The consultant talk is just that talk. They will waste the Boro’s money by paying someone to look over applications and “suggest” the individuals who should be given an interview, all the while Connolly has already been given the green light on the CFO position.
There is not a municipality in any state that would hand over the position of CFO to someone who just recently passed a test with zero experience. It’s a recipe for disaster and knowing the trouble Connolly has already put our town in it’s a shame she is even been talked about as CFO.
I can not believe what our town has become. Hopefully everyone remembers on Election Day all that we have been through and the divide Connolly and others have put our small town in.
    Bring back Belmar!

I smell another lawsuit in the making. Borough Administration hired the “Consultant”. Applications are Sent in and misplaced, deadline date was a typo, etc., you name it it will happen. Then the really qualified, seasoned candidate smells a rat and then a Title 59 Tort Claim Notice is filed against Belmar for more Shenanigans, again!

#17 unfortunately none of that will happen, Connolly is untouchable. It has been proven time and time again. She will be the CFO in the new year. Buckle up Belmar, you thought the town was in termoil before….you have seen nothing.

Colleen will get the job if none of us does anything about it. This is a perfect opportunity to harness the anger we all feel about the way this BA operates and attend council meetings and make our voices heard. We don’t even have to call her out by name. Just show up and ask a million questions about the hiring process for the new CFO. How many applications? Who does the actual hiring? What if the person turns out to be a mistake? Can they be fired? When will the decision be made? What kind of experience are you looking for? Etc etc. Once they realize that they are on the record and that the town is watching and that Colleen is wildly unpopular, they will think twice. Especially during an election year. So, while bitching on this blog is fun, and often cathartic, to make a difference we need to act.

#20 while speaking up at a town hall meeting is what should be done, many people fear the repercussions of just that. Ask the people in town who have spoken out for us, they were called names and laughed at during meetings (you can refer to the videos for proof)
All we can do is get out the vote…36 days and counting to try to turn this town around.

#11 I dont think she is automatically tenured. Tenure comes with time and performance. The decision for a new CFO needs to made by whoever wins the election in November.

#20 I think that is a great idea. Who cares of the repercussions that may happen! I would rather deal with that than her for many more years. I’m sure Walsifer knows exactly what she is about and if he can he will get rid of her. Again he has to pick and choose his battles before the election. Don’t doubt what he may or may not do. Keep the faith and go out and vote Walsifer!
