It may be safer to open D’Jais and move the St Patrick parade to Ocean Ave …. the Borough-installed metal light poles on Main Street are too close to JCP&L’s overhead energized conductors.

If Christie signs this into law, one can only hope that the bar owners and their association file a legal action against the state and also for an immediate injunction.

#2. Exactly what will happen. Tortious and Intentional interference depriving the year round license holders of their ability to run their businesses.

We could always petition for a 12am bar closing. We already pay the highest taxes in the area.We can afford more law enforcement in the off season.

Call in a proven winner – Ken Pringle – to take on the case. What is Ken’s winning record against Belmar?

Its all about CASH and who will get the best kick back rewards from distributors for liquor/beer sales beyond the competitive quota goals. Do you think anyone pays taxes on any of that unearned income?

#6 – Sir, all this supposed “winning” hasn’t amounted to a hill of beans. The only thing that happens is Mr. Pringle gets his money awarded to him and Matt backs off a step or two for awhile until he/they can think of a new angle to get what they want. Enough with the dumb lawsuits.

Main Street businesses have a better chance of survival when their customers don’t get electrocuted …. all businesses, north of 10th Avenue, should ask elected officials about the inoperative metal-pole lights and demand JCP&L fix the Borough’s blunder. Fast.

Hopefully Belmar’s Risk Management Department forwarded their constructive notice of the above dangerous installation to their liability insurance carrier(s). Know what, I think I’ll do that incase they’re overwhelmed with Parade prep.

If a metal pole becomes electrified, a dog whizzes at the base of it, guess what happens to the dog. Lots of dog walkers in Belmar. Just call fixing the problem “puppy love”.

Anyone notice that there are no 1 day license approval requests for Seasonal Liquor Licensed establishments this year? Do the know something about Governor Christie that we the Voters in Belmar don’t know? What a joke!

#14 …. electric traffic controls are not constructed, maintained or owned by Belmar …. those controls (w/poles) comply with applicable safety standards.

The black metal poles, that are to be used for illumination (lighting), do not comply with electric safety code separation distance requirements …. some of the black poles contact JCP&L’s wires …. just waiting to be ZAPPED!

one day license request was usually to places like 10th ave, st. rose and the boro right? for their festivities on parade day? 10th ave doesn’t need one anymore…maybe the boro is keeping theirs dry for the kids…and st. rose is only serving wine at the altar?

I haven’t experienced the electric charge between the aluminum railing and boardwalk …. but, it may be static? …. like the charge developed while walking on a synthetic carpet in a dry house.
The Trex boards are made of synthetic materials.
