So if the Boro is millions of dollars in debt and you do not increase the taxes how are you going to pay the debt???? If a Municipality does not manage its finances it will be taken over by the State of NJ is that what they want??? They must have gone to the same Political classes that AOC went to as they make no logical sense.Ladies how are you going to pay down the debt???? They have no idea what they are doing except making fools of themselves maybe that’s what they like doing.
#4- The answer is to cut spending, DUH. Far TOO many people on the payroll sucking the bit far TOO long. Compare salaries and benefits on Belmar’s rolls to other neighboring towns and the answer is clear as a bell. I’ve said it before, now is the best time ever to lay people off and trim the fat. Thanks to our present Federal Administration, jobs are abundant. They will find some other job to loaf about.
Their signs are an insult to our intelligence, reckless increases ?? Who caused the need for the increases?? Cut spending, ok tell us what can be legally cut and how long those cuts will take in years to wipe out the millions of dollars in debt. The Democrats are betting on people’s ignorance for them to win??

#21 at times people must protect their identities in fear of bullies. You silence a lot of voices and opinions that way. Not like anyone on here that disagrees with a select few has a real chance of persuading a different opinion or at least a different perspective. Closed minds are closed minds. Haters are going to hate, whether its against Mr. No Name or Mrs. Somebody.
#15 First of all, he ain’t joking. One thing about Mr Dilberger is his consistency. Second, what are you talking about? This isn’t a Democrat or Republican thing. If someone is a racist or a misogynist or a bigot or whatever, it’s ok to point it out. Because it IS NOT ok to be one of those things. The economy has been growing steadily for the last 10 years, not just the last 3.
Democrats have good ideas (anyone reading this blog have Medicare?) and Republicans have good ideas (the EPA).
Just because people are being called out for being ingnorant doesn’t mean the people calling them out don’t have ideas. You could make a pretty good argument that the people being called out are the ones who have no ideas.
The truth is our government works when the best of the left and the best of the right work together. But the people on the extreme left and the extreme right don’t want that. They want chaos and disorder. The use it as fear and they monetize it. Don’t fall for it.
What happened to Sunday night movies on the beach the children loved them? They broke the equipment?
If one or both of the female women spinster candidates win the election for council, wood it be alright to supply them with a male mentor/coach who could crouch unobtrusively behind their chairs on the dais during council meetings and explain whut’s going on to them as the meeting progresses?
# Sure. Matt and Brian had to have that so why not these two women. After all, inexperience knows no gender.

Possibly, the council could approve a temporary measure to fight the recent outbreak of female women spinsterism that has attacked Belmar. They could assign various known spinsters to the care of a wealthy local magnate who wood marry them for an agreed upon length of time while they’re domiciled here in Belmar. Once the spinster decided to leave Belmar, she wood of course be freed from all obligations to the said temporary marriages as would of course the magnate as well. I would advise limiting the number of spinsters the magnate could marry to three. Otherwise people might get the wrong idea of these temporary combinations.
Yes sir. That might be your best idea yet! And you’ve had some really great ideas. Now, will the sad, lonely magnate get to choose the spinsters? Will it be like it is on the national level? Where the sad, lonely, inferior magnate picks young, pretty, sometimes foreign spinsters to replace the older one he’s grown tired of? Or ask for a divorce while the older model is being treated for cancer so he can get his hands on the young, newer spinster? Anyway, just details. The Mayor and his strong union labor attorney are doing the right thing by keeping municipal jobs at all costs. The taxpayers should have to subsidize the governmental workforce. Just because you work for the government doesn’t mean you don’t have jobs and families to take care of. Kudos Mayor. Kudos for hiring a union attorney to be your management attorney.
What other mayor in NJ has had the courage to do this? no one but our mayor!
