Sorry, we don’t need another Jon Corzine.
Is there going to be a bathing suit competition?
Vote no on Casinos. Maggie’s hot issue. Look at all the good Casinos did for Atlantic City! NOT!
@3 – Agreed 100%. Gambling is a dead end. The state must face facts and make cuts now. The next contract with all state, county and city employees must have at least a 40 percent reduction in pensions and the same for salaries if we’re to just financially tread water.
Ato antic City is a ghetto beyond the boardwalk and Borgotta. Shame no JOBS for the locals ever appeared. Nothing but promises to all those poor people.
#4- Wow McGee what a great idea. So when YOU also accept a 40% cut in pay, you too will have to move to the ghettos of A.C. along with the Police and Teachers. And then you can all re-hab the neighborhoods and make this a better world to live in. And then there will be no more ghettos, just places for the once-middle classeds’ to live in.
#6 – Sir, our backs are to the wall. Something must be done and fast. I’m open to talking, but not on anything less than that.
HAHAHA, JOEMCGEE is really JOE GOOFINOFF under another name. Dave, Is this allowed? Apparently GOOFY has offended too many people with his off the wall comments and now goes by MCGEE, bloggers beware. I’m sure his true colors would have come out sooner than later.
What’s in a name anyway? In a nightmare I saw several casinos in Belmar, with motels nearby, parking lots galore, all in the redevelopment zone…
Get yer NJ Transit gambling packages on big discount now.
#5 – The locals had chances but didn’t measure up to the work.
#6 – It’s just simple economics. Once the non-productive sector in a state starts making more than the private sector workers can support through taxation the entire economic system starts falling apart. I do not just point at teachers and policemen. The entire system is in danger of collapse. But I will mention we have a very big welfare population. These people depend on the taxpayers for their food, clothing, shelter and every other necessity of life. Many/most of these people have never worked and will never work. And they still have children and bring them up to be the same as themselves. We’re in big trouble in this state.
