Well Tom Burke is running for the Republican nomination but doesn’t have any support within the Belmar Republican Committee. I expect another candidate that the Committee can support will be making an announcement within a couple of weeks.

#5 I don’t know who you are and was not accusing you of any wrong doing. From what I have seen in the decisions made it does not appear to be on the residents best interests.

Here’s an easy question… Who is paying for this thing at 10th Avenue Burrito ? Was it donated ?

I’m sure the Democrats are paying. If 10th Ave donated, it would open up a whole can of worms with the campaign finance laws.

Jen is heavily involved with Paint The Town Pink-she’s heading up the event for this May in Belmar-this is a Meridian Health initiative to spread the word about the importance of mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer-as a breast cancer survivor, Jen has been involved in spreading the word about mammography for quite some time-Jen is also a member of Belmar Cares-a breast cancer support group-and has participated in the many activities that support women with cancer……I’d say she’s done a great deal for women…..Jen also supports the health fair….held in Belmar each fall……many opportunities at the fair for people to have blood pressures checked, etc…#8..if you’re interested in a book (reading) club, the Belmar Woman’s Club has such an activity-we meet the last Thursday of each month at 1pm at the Belmar Library-we read books, with lively discussion of the same to follow-I thorough enjoy these sessions-actually, The BWC would a wonderful club for you to join if you’re looking for things for women to do-many varied activities-card parties, etc.

Couldn’t you get the hint when I used meatball maker? I advise YOU to calm down-get a sense of humor-it’ll help you to calm down….

Claire- is the Belmar Democratic Committee so embarrassed of the way Belmar beach looks that they use a picture of Spring Lake beach in their logo instead? I am sure any number of local photographers would give you a picture of the Belmar shoreline if you asked:)

Elected officials should conduct business, like reading and understanding all the Belmar ordinances that are on the books and proposed so they understand what they are voting on or overseeing and can ask intelligent questions. Social projects are nice but should be secondary to running the town properly and ethically. Maybe look into taking some government and fiscal management courses? Commenter #13 has some good suggestions that would benefit the majority of residents, not just females and children.
