Breaking The Law

A little discussion today about Benford’s Law, a mathematical observation that predicts the frequency of the first digit of all sorts of numbers. It seems to accurately apply to financial reporting numbers, geographic numbers such as street addresses or length of rivers and tabulation numbers like vote counts. It is commonly used to detect financial and election fraud and has in cases been accepted as legal evidence.  If any of you out there are financial auditors you probably know about it.

Here is an explanation from Wikipedia:

And some of its applications:

It was damning evidence in the Enron case.

And as mentioned above, in the 2009 Iranian election.

We have a comparison from Chicago of the top six presidential tickets’ results compared to what would be predicted. Trump, the Green Party, and the Libertarians had numbers that pretty much fell in line with what would be expected. Two of the tickets didn’t really get enough votes in Chicago to even reach digits that would have a lower likelihood of appearing. But look at Biden’s numbers.

Now when you hear the talking heads say there is no evidence of “widespread” voter fraud they are trying to distract you from what is really going on.  We not talking about widespread voter fraud.  Whether or not there was any voter fraud in Kansas or Oregon doesn’t matter.  What we are talking about is massive specifically-targeted fraud that would do what it would take to flip large states.  It was particularly helpful for potential ballot stuffers to know the results from election day and then utilize the big city urban Democratic machines to generate enough votes in the days after to flip the big states that they then knew would be within reach, e.g. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

In the graphic below the top three rows are Trump’s numbers in blue compared to the expected numbers in orange for Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Detroit.  In the bottom row we see Biden’s numbers in blue for the same three cities.

BTW, voter turnout in Milwaukee was an unbelievable 90% with some precincts reporting more votes than they had registered voters.

Update: Pittsburgh too.

I know it is hard when your guy loses but please stop with this nonsense disguised as science. Trump lost. The numbers you site in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh are simply not true and even the most cursory research shows it. And your buying into the narrative of a deranged man who refused to accept defeat gracefully. It’s unconscionable. Let the baby have his lawsuits. We will ALL see soon enough as it goes through the courts that he lost fair and square. That, even though there was a rather shocking amount of people who did vote for him, he was just too unpopular with the majority of our nation. Voter fraud exists. It is perpetrated by both parties. It is, and has always been, rather insignificant. If you’re going to commit it, without fear of getting caught, you might as well increase your power in the H.O.R. and regain power in the senate. That didn’t happen.
So move on, accept that Trump was just too unpopular to be re-elected to a second term. He will act like a spoiled child but it’s up to the rest of us to act like adults. My faith in my country has been restored today.

Sad day for America. The Biden voters did not know what they did, i.e., committed the nation to a road to devolvement, loss of choice and freedom down the road. The Democratic party now is not what it used to be. Whoever chooses to insult me and call me a snowflake, is what the left has become, intolerant of those who do not agree with them, left wing “fascists”, although they would not know that, have a lack of knowledge of history, because they believe they are right and those who disagree must be squashed. Trump will get his day in court and he will loose. There’s nothing there. Move on. This election was a repudiation of Trump. That’s why the senate stayed (or will stay) in republican control. Gains in the house too. And republicans did very well in state legislatures. If that’s fraud, well the Dems are really bad at it. Move on. Now you know how I felt in 2016. There are problems we can fix together.

#3 you mean HIS corruption was exposed. The poor guy is gonna try to pardon himself, just watch. And it wasn’t 50% of the country, it was less. That’s why he lost. Over 4 million votes and counting. Biden won with a greater margin than Trump had in 2016. Just numbers. But even though Trump certainly acted like he had a mandate, Biden isn’t a child so, as he’s said, he’ll govern like an adult.

Now, lots of people will vote for president but don’t care about down ballot. However, when you get a pile of those in a row, that suggests somebody in a hurry filling out the mission critical bubble and then moving down stack, assembly line style.”

When you have tens of thousands of ballots to fill out in a hurry you don’t bother filling in the down ballot bubbles.

    In Michigan:
    Trump: 2,637,173
    GOP Sen: 2,630,042

    Biden: 2,787,544
    Dem Sen: 2,718,451

Just like in the topic of this story, Trump’s numbers make sense and Biden’s do not.

She/they tried everything they could to get rid of him but he was successful with everything they threw at him. Now he has to defend an election that was purposefully as corrupt as the Democratic party could ever be. There was absolutely NO reason for mail in ballots. If we can go to Cosco and Shop Rite we should have been able to use the voting machine. It would have to be wiped down in between each voter. We are used to wiping down everything we touch and having our temperatures taken everywhere we go. This was such a sham caused by the Democratic Governor’s. Voting by mail opened us–We The People–up to so much fraud it’s disgusting. Now an election that WAS corrupt should be investigated and the guilty should be prosecuted (along with the Biden crime family).

#12,13,15 Again, making claims is not the same as illegal actions. You fail to see that there has been, at least so far, zero evidence presented about wide spread voter fraud. By wide spread I mean enough to change the results. None. So whether you watch CNN, MSNBC, FOX or PBS, there has been no evidence presented. None. There’s been a lot of ‘claims’ of course, but the courts require proof.
But let the law suits work their way through the courts. I think they should. I know that you will come up with a reason why the courts are corrupt when these law suits are thrown out. So you probably have a few weeks to come up with a reason why a Republican President, a Republican controlled senate, a conservative majority SCOTUS, a postal service run by a Trump donor, and a vast field of conservative judges were no match for a handful of local election officials. Hahahaha. Oh and this is the first election since 1792 where there was enough voter fraud to change the outcome of the presidency. Oh and they were able to do it in front of the Republican watchers. Oh and the Republican state legislature election laws helped them.
It’s really kinda funny when you step back and see what’s happening here. You just can’t get your head around the loss. It is painful believe me. You are experiencing what we all experienced in 2016. Shock, disbelief. But it’s real and life goes on. All I ask is that when the courts rule on all of Trumps ‘claims’, that you accept the results and move on. Please.

But claiming that our election system is rigged without any prof? That’s a different story.
Sorry Admin, your graphs and innuendo are not facts. The Benford law you site literally says that applying it to elections has it’s problems. And your graphs are from right wing web sites and aren’t even accurate. And even if they were accurate, ITS NOT EVIDENCE. Honestly I’m not a raving trump lover but I do think he was a better choice than biden who was forced down our throats but the democratic powers that be.

Windows were covered because Trump supporters went down to the polling center to bang on said windows and chant ‘stop the count’ while they were still counting. They were also taking pictures with their cell phones and basically being disruptive. Windows were covered so that the poll workers could count. I’ll tell you what, try to count while someone is shouting at you and banging on your windows. There are video cameras inside and Republican poll watchers.
Trying to disrupt a vote count is wrong. Sorry

The GOP ‘election officials’ were removed, they were removed by the police. They were removed BY THE POLICE (police love Trump according to Trump) because they were wearing masks and, again, trying to disrupt the count. If it was so nefarious, why on earth would the police remove them? You’d cheer too. They were replaced by GOP monitors that weren’t spoiled children.

Finally- the 6000 votes given to Biden were discovered and corrected. It was a computer glitch and was noticed and corrected. Those things happen and they fixed it.

Every election since the invention of television has been ‘called’ by media pundits. Even Bush V Gore in 2000. Super close. So close in fact that Gore actually won but they gave it to Bush.

Anyway- like I said, Trump can sue all he wants. So far he’s 0-5. That’s right 5 of his cases have been tossed because they don’t have any evidence to back them up. There is nothing there to make anyone say hmmmmm or oooohhh or anything like it. Trump lost white women and the suburbs and the election.

The reason you can’t find your links on the first Google page is because they are deeply misleading. But as Trump is probably thinking- Google, The news, Facebook, the police department, the legal system. Twitter, Illuminati, librarians, and the Girl Scouts of America are all out to get him.

Biden wasn’t forced down anyone’s throats. He went through a crowded primary field and won a very contentious race. Or were the democratic primary elections all rigged too?

It’s a dangerous game when we start questioning the democratic process because our guy didn’t win. And according to the evidence that’s exactly what’s happening.

I don’t even think that Trump is technically a racist. He just says a lot of racist things. And he is hesitant to unequivocally disassociate with racist groups. But not so much because he likes their message as because it means more votes (or adoration). I think it’s possible to say racist things and look the other way from racist behavior and not be a ‘racist’. More of an opportunist with racist tendencies. And that basically sums up Donald.

Again, they were caught and the operative in charge was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice. If there are computer glitches, they should be identified and corrected. We can all agree that every legally cast vote should be counted.

You’re last comment makes no sense. You can believe what you want I guess but the Russian tampering in the 2016 and 2020 election is painstakingly documented and agreed upon by every single intelligence agency (you know, the same agencies we trust to rely on for information when we are taking out terror suspects). You can’t trust them for one thing and not the other.
Using the word “believer” is telling. Like it’s something that requires faith. These are just facts. Conflating the Clinton campaign’s paying for the Steele dossier and Russian influence in the election is very common among Trump supporters. They’re not the same thing.
And you certainly can have an opinion about the Mueller report but you can’t deny it’s effectiveness. It resulted in 34 indictments with 8 convictions. Imagine for a second if the Obama administration had that hanging over their heads. You’d all be having seizures. But with Trump, it’s fake! Hysterical. I pray that one day we look back on this and think it’s funny. But right now, scary as hell.

Did the Libertarian Party throw the election to Joe Biden? Maybe. At this writing nominee Jo Jorgensen’s vote total exceeds Mr. Biden’s margin over President Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania, enough to change the outcome.

In 2000 the Green Party was accused of ruining things for the Democrats. Did Ralph Nader throw the election from Al Gore to George W. Bush? The cognoscenti are still divided, but the 2020 parallels are strong. Probably most Green voters would have gone Democratic if forced into a binary choice. Similarly, on the Libertarian-O-Meter, Mr. Trump scores much higher than Mr. Biden.

Yes, the Donald is a protectionist, and free trade is the preferred policy of those who favor economic and personal liberty. But when it comes to lowering taxes and easing regulations on business, the party of the elephant is far more closely aligned to the libertarian philosophy than that of the donkey. Mr. Trump has appointed conservatives to the Supreme Court, not libertarians like Randy Barnett, Clint Bolick, Jacob Huebert, Gregory Rome or Brandon Thibodeaux. But supporters of the freedom philosophy prefer judges who adhere to the U.S. Constitution over those who make things up as they go along.

In contrast, Mr. Biden is a puppet in the marionette hands of out-and-out socialists like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Yes, there are some issues on which libertarians are closer to Democrats, such as Oregon’s decriminalization of heroin and cocaine. But these are few and far between.

The national Libertarian Party started in 1971, several state parties earlier. In 1969 I had the honor to run for the New York Assembly. My motto was “Disassemble the Assembly.” I didn’t win; I’m not sure my vote total reached triple digits. But I’ve been a staunch member of the party ever since.

In 2016 physician Donald Miller, historian Ralph Raico and I started a group called Libertarians for Trump. Our advice to libertarian voters was: If you live in Massachusetts or California, strong blue states, vote for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee. The Republicans will lose big there, and your vote for the porcupine won’t help the donkey beat the elephant. Likewise in Louisiana or Alabama, where Mr. Trump was sure to win. But if you live in a purple state, don’t vote Libertarian. It is crucial that Donald beat Hillary!

I kick myself for not reinstituting this effort in 2019. My thought was that Gary Johnson, a former governor, was well-known and might manage 5% of the vote. He actually registered 3.27%, still more than three times the previous record of 1.06%, set by Ed Clark in 1980. I figured Ms. Jorgenson for 0.25%. She now looks on track to exceed Mr. Clark’s percentage slightly—and hand the presidency to Mr. Biden.

Pardon me while I beat my head against the wall. How could libertarians in purple states be so stupid?

The states that are counting still like PA, AZ, and GA had laws passed by REPUBLICAN controlled state legislatures that said the mail in ballots CANNOT be counted until election day some decreed that they cant be counted until all the in person votes were counted first.
