I like this. Like El Nino Dave shows up and washes away the status quo big time. …and he’s still standing tall and smiling. Cute.
What was Tom Burke’s costume for Halloween, a Republican?
Did you thank them for the compliment? El Nino is a very powerful force that can and has changed many things.
Halloween for me and my bros comes TOMORROW, when we dress up like BEL-MARTIANS!!! faced
Is it true that I will NOT get a rent increase if my landlord a tax increase? Please someone who doesn’t have a bet on this let me know.
I believe Ms. Grosshandler is a renter. She should vote NO.
#5 As far as I know, the renter will be protected from an increase in rent while the current lease is in effect, but after it expires, well, wait and see. Costs are passed down to renters unless they are protected by some kind of rent control provisions, as in New York.
Can section 8 housing increase if landlord taxes go up at the end of lease?
what about the Belmar inn? Do those residents get rent increases like other housing even if paid by welfare?
The Mayor’s letter today really disturbed me i have had enough of the conflicts of interests, lying and the lawsuits.
I urge all to call Chris Gramiccioni Acting County Prosecutor 732-431-7160 ext. 7522 to expedite the looking into the Mayor’s shenanigans.
#7 I am pretty sure the LL can add a evenly spread increase to the tenants. The Section 8 recipient must check with the county to make sure he or she is within the $$ amount authorized for the payment to the Land Lord.
I think Matt should move to Cuba. He can do what HE wants and no one will bother him there.
#8 Don’t forget. You have to watch who you call from Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office. Mike Campbell use to be a Monmouth County Prosecutor.
Free Shoprite gift cards cannot buy my vote even if I might live in subsidized housing, which I do not. Vote for Dave and NO on the referendum and protect yourself and others from the ramifications of tax increases and other potential abuses by an arrogant, self-serving administration. Nothing is ever really free, not even rent. Someone always pays, even if a few steps removed. That is about as “political” as I care to get.
What a disgrace.
Janet Grosshandler is running for the Belmar Board of Education. She is a bully and certainly doesn’t belong in the school system or any other office which represents Belmar in an official capacity. I hope her comments on the above post, along with the people who clicked “like”, (Councilpeople Brennan and Nicolay, Matt for posting it, Burke for starting it) have done some serious damage to their campaigns! All they had to do was show their true immature, unprofessional and bullying selves! VOTE FOR DAVE SCHNECK AND VOTE NO, PLEASE! We need a voice of reason on the council and someone who won’t condescend, avoid questions, treat residents like they have no right to be here…! Put Belmar in the hands of someone who truly cares for her and her residents!
#11 I know that and i know they are busy. If they get lots of calls they will push it up the ladder.
More importantly Make sure every one talks to neighbors and friends and vote NO and for Dave that might get his attention but i doubt it.
Yoday’s, and hopefully his last post on Tom Burke’s Belmar View says it all. Burke who is always using the dictionary and defining stuff said what we have known for the past three campaigns, ” I NEED your vote “. There is something lacking in the very fiber and being of this man that he needs to be an elected official, above all else. Its not “reasonable”. A reasonable man would say, I want your vote or I want to earn your vote. When was the last time you heard anyone running for Belmar Council stating that they need your vote? Of course, Tom Burke has been unlike any candidate that we will ever experience in our lifetimes.
Tom is not a Republican, from the false statements in his letter today looks like he is being mentored by Matt. Tom you are not a Republican you are a fake phoney and a fraud. RIP Bob Grant. So what are you getting for helping Matt free financial advice??
I am voting for Joanne Gray for Board of Ed. A proven long time member of board of Ed and a HOMEOWNER!
You can vote for three. I recommend the three that aren’t Janet Grosshandler.
Regarding Grosshandler, I was thinking that her credentials look impressive and she might be OK on the BOE, but after her LOL comment, I think she is just like the rest of the Democrats in this administration. Guilt by association. And as treasurer of the BDC? Well, go ahead and deposit that pay-to-play money and further the schemes.
Frank Sementa, Bill Luddecke, and Kip Conner
#20. Thank you for being so nice. My experience has been that she is nasty, nasty and more nasty. Putting Janet on the BOE would be like letting a rattlesnake loose in the lunchroom.
#22 I do not trust anyone who claims to be a “life coach.” Never met the woman, but the vibe I have gotten from her was creepy. A list of credentials viewed externally without knowing the person could sway votes. I always trust the vibe factor.
All I can do is shake my head – to make it personal is just too much. As far as Board Of Ed I would rather people be on it who know the school and have an interest in the SCHOOL and the students Of Belmar Elementary be elected rather than someone who is just passing through with different agenda.
Life Coach is code for rich guy’s wife. Lemme get a GUINNESS BOOSSS!!! Vote or die!!! Union bros – unite here!!!
You might think of voting for Richard Brand for the BOE. Belmar boy from large family who lives in the town and loves it. No perks belonging to the BOE just hard work. THINK.
Richie Brand has made a brand in Belmar. Conscientious, caring, thorough forward thinking individual who plans for the future. Enough said. We think so. Keep the BOE GOING running COHESIVELY. Belmar needs BRAND and a big NO
Grosshandler is the treasurer of the Belmar Democratic Committee. She is the one turning the laborers union PAC contributions into political hate mail towards Ken Pringle and the residents who dare question the Mayor and Council. Those mailings alone are evidence of her poor judgement and political agenda. Gray, Kurzweil and Brand, Solid choices for Belmar BOE VOTE FOR DAVE SCHNECK AND NO to the pavilion bond.
#24 Blame the Democrat slogan, People Not Politics. Other than the “personal” part, I agree.
Gross handler is running for BOE so she can then run for council. Vote Dave
DAVE TO SAVE BELMAR.
Mrs.Gray has 2 children in Belmar school system one in squan high school and one in elementary school. Send a message make your vote count.
