The Mayor and Council meetings are so much better to attend now without the tight lipped nasty Doherty, the idiotic coach Magovern and useless rubber-stampers on the council who seemed aloof and uninterested in thinking for themselves. This new group appear to be moving in the correct direction to undo and correct all the past oversights and mistakes. Unfortunately a tax increase will be necessary to make up for the vastly unrealistic lack of tax increases for the past eight years and the republicans will be blamed, unfortunately. “Us versus them” thinking stinks. Why call this new group stooges when the biggest stooges were voted out en masse.

I have confidence in our mayor and council. Actual reports on what is happening in our town that significantly affects us. They are still uncovering the stink left behind.
#10- I’m happy for you. Please peruse the proposed budget posted here on this blog and show me what page and line do you see any budget cuts. You can’t just raise taxes without making budget cuts, somewhere??? Vote these people out. Next.

Whoever thinks that the current Administration was stuck with a disastrous budget crisis please stand up.

Well, it looks like we’re all going to take a nasty dose of medicine/tax hikes. Most of us here are not responsible but that doesn’t matter – life is not, and has never been “fair”.
Parade Day costs should pay for itself. It’s not our fault that the location changes were made to get business to Belmar vs Newark. Those bartenders and owners were clever market makers that’s all.

April isn’t the only employee who should be recognized. I get that it was municipal clerks week, but there are a lot of other employees who work a lot harder than April, but there aren’t any special weeks to celebrate them.
the leaking 10th Ave Tower Door is access/egress for observation level occupants … the public would never be allowed to use the Door … swing IN or swing OUT.
