At least so far
BTW, the date on that last one, to Assemblyman Joe Danielsen, is a typo. It was actually made on March 22 of this year. Danielsen, you may recall, chaired the Assembly Oversight, Reform and Federal Relations Committee hearing on the seasonal license expansion last September.
Can anyone guess the total amount of political contributions D’Jais has made over the years? $75,000?, $100,000?, $125,000?

Looks like business is good
Don’t forget about the money we pass through local individuals. We give them cash and they write a check to the politician. There are lots of good people out there who aren’t against D’Jais recovery, aren’t the element, aren’t naysayers… they just love to be part of the awesome scene every summer. Viva la Benny!
(Not really from D’Jais)
With low annual property taxes all these years and with no increases for their unauthorized bar expansions by Belmar they can well afford sending some dough, re me to those unscrupulous pols so they can set their beaks.
Code Enforcement turns a blind eye to expansions.
Cash payments to McDirty are probably another $125k.
Ahhhhhh!!!!! Who says money can’t buy ya love!!!!
Katrina – Money can’t buy love or happiness. Money can’t even buy a reasonable fact similar. Money is what’s wrong with everything nowadays. If people took their minds off acquiring money every second of every day, there’d be a whole lot more real love and happiness in our poor country.
#2 – Business as usual. Look at how this new Mayor and Council are ignoring the expansion of the bar without approvals. D’jais must be backing these guys now. Hey Pat Wann, what about all the promises you made before last November?
These are not average donations. Seems like a rat(s) is/are running around unchecked in Belmar
This problem is similar to the plot of a fantastic film called “Roadhouse”.
In this case the part of the town rich guy, bully, overlord (Brad Wesley) is played by D’Jais. He runs the town with an iron fist and has the hapless local politicians in his pocket. What we need is to hire a ‘cooler'(Dalton) to straighten things out in this out of control honkey tonk that is Belmar. First he’ll train us all how to handle a bad situation. “Be nice” he’ll say. Then he’ll start cleaning house. Firing those employees that are part of the problem. Oh he’ll ruffle some feathers along the way and he’ll fall in love with a gorgeous blond emergency room physician.
Eventually, D’Jais will send his best men to stop the cooler. But one after the other they fall victim to his ass kicking prowess. Eventually, in a fit of jealous rage (D’Jais has a thing for the blond doctor)he’ll make a tactical mistake and push the cooler to the brink. Blinded by vengeance the cooler forgets his zenful ass kicking approach and kills D’Jais in a nerve shattering climax. When the cops come around to investigate, all the town folk play dumb and the crime goes unsolved.
We all live happily ever after.
Or we could just elect people that will not take a penny from D’jais and hold them accountable for their actions.
Word’s out already that the Republicans believe that they will have the D’Jais voting machine behind them this year. Thanks guys, you all ran on your disgust of how D’Jais interferes in our elections and now you are in bed with them? No wonder their illegal outdoor bar keeps being ignored by you all.
Geriatric little Billy from D’jais fancies himself to be Belmar’s version of Whitey Bulger. Driving around in his old black Mercedes wearing his cowboy boots. Mugging for the cameras with the the last 2 governors and free drinks to those who support the illegal expansion of this cash cash cash business. Little Billy has been the king maker politically and anyone that he is interested in supporting in an upcoming election gets a call for a private meeting at 1801 Ocean Ave where he explains that every candidate that D’Jais supports will win in Belmar and told – “bow and kiss my pinky ring”
PD not inclined to enforce the law on make DJ’s comply. It is a gravy train of pensionable overtime checking out the girls. Also allegedly free meals from the grill and free drinks when off duty
Big Coast Star article this week on Parker House liquor license renewal which was attended by 300. Hey Mayor and Council…are you too timid and in djais pocket to schedule and open debate like this? Has our Chief performed a similar analysis at Sea Girt to determine the impact of djais?
When did the town approve blocking off our parking spaces on ocean ave for Djais ride sharing with no parking signs? Make Djais convert their own parking lot to be a pickup only area. M&C – no more freebies. Change the culture and take our town back like you were elected to do.
Question the leadership and get them on record and video at the Council Meetings.
@15..probably the same time the Belmar Fishin…er..drinking Club got permission to put up no parking signs for their private events around the park the last 2 summers..
@17..probably the same time the Shillelagh Club..er another town drinking club with some influential members got permission to park their overflow in the borough lot across the street right next to the basketball court where kids are playing. Same borough lot where Bar Anticipation patrons park.
All more give aways of Belmar town assets and parking spots just to benefit private entities. Business as usual in Belmar
I miss the D’Jais Drunkard. When will you awaken from your winter slumber.
D’jais illegal, orange, truck sized generator should be showing up any day now on 18th Avenue side of the building.
The shipping containers painted beige and used to wall off the backyard bar in the south side parking lot are a great look for Djais. Is this legal and in compliance with code?
How many times a day can the porta potty s be flushed on weekends. Sewers couldn’t do the volume.
