Doesn’t Everyone With A Master’s Have A Bachelor’s?

Being left on porches in some other towns:

We in Belmar already know that Matt is very frugal with tax dollars but I think some of his budget saving measures are a bit extreme.  For example, he forces Brian and Janis to use the same desk:

BTW next year it will be Tom Brennan that’s keeping taxes low.

Admin.- can you please remind the good people of Monmouth County what Belmar’s debt was 7 years ago and what it is today. Thanks

As per #2….. The towns debt statement keeps increasing… That is a tax increase by definition, we just did not pay for it yet…. Wake up Belmar voters we are living on a credit card…. Great job on the pay to play victory!! I appreciate your efforts…

All smoke & mirrors. Ask the Belmar taxpayers about the $30+ MILLION of additional debt since Matt Doherty took office and the questionable over expensing of municipal expenses from the beach revenue account. So these zero tax increase were the result of a huge increase in Belmar’s debt and a 1 for me – 1 for you attitude of beach badge fees. Give any town a $30+ million dollar credit card & a cash rich beach and they too would see zero tax increases.

I just read the Coast Star article about the “Pay to Play” vote. Matt Doherty needs to be recalled. Belmar taxpayers can not afford one more day of this self-serving politician.

In today’s Coast Star: “We have to follow the legal advice of our attorney’s,” Mayor Doherty said. Based on that advice, he said, the borough will proceed with an appeal of Superior Court Judge Katie A. Gummer’s decision on the ordinance, seeking a ruling on whether the original ordinance is, in fact, unconstitutional.”
My question: Shouldn’t Council vote on whether to move forward with an appeal since it will waste more tax payer money? If so, it won’t look good for Brian and Janice to have their support of an appeal on the record.

Matt’s continued fight at our expense is disgusting. There are so many lies at our expense. The taxes WILL go up dramatically because of all the lies and borrowing and spending..and the results of the law suites will have dramatic cost consequences too. There are many families all over town that are still not back from the Storm. Matt has no problem using there personal agony for his political gain. The shameless lies from the lawless mayor and council are too many to list and too much to bear. We really should start a recall campaign. We are getting pretty good at special elections after all, knucklehead matt has required two so far. It is just shocking how far he continues to go with no concern for the Town. Shameless soulless matt.

In an effort to clear up the whole Bachelors vs Masters degree controversy:
He has a Bachelors degree in desperation And a Masters in obfuscation.
He also seems to think that ‘bipartisan’ is a type of clothing. ‘Led the recovery from Sandy in bipartisan fashion’. He must be referring to that little sleeveless number with the Belmar tsunami logo on it. I don’t have the heart to tell him that it means to compromise and work with others towards the greater good.

As far as Djais goes, I’ve been there but it’s not my cup of tea. The bar has been there for years and few people now living in the area were there when it opened. The problem is the behavior of people over time has deteriorated and now they are a big problem when they come out of there late at night all drunked up. Nothing really can be done short of the local residents turning on the drunks. Then of course, the local people would be arrested for taking matters into their own hands. It’s a very hard situation to deal with. Nothing will be done of course until some sort of disaster occurs and our officials will all act surprised.

As in the case of Bar-A. The good people of Belmar pay for 3/4 of the cost to patrol and handle disturbances there, while the people of Lake Como reap %100 of the tax money Bar-A pays. Great plan Matt. Wake up people.

You could purchase your own booze if you didn’t have to pay the security tax in your neighborhood. The Don needs your $$$ so they don’t have to pay.
