I remember something about a SEAWALL!?!?! In the original epic contract Hummm. Why didn’t we build that again Mr Mayor?
Was in Avon Pavilion yesterday. Nice seawall across entire beach. Two buildings less than HALF of what we paid for one ( without stairs decking and railings) and can anyone answer why the 10th ave building isn’t finished yet? And a lot of Belmar trucks and not an Epic truck in sight
    And

Epic Management isn’t a contractor and doesn’t actually do work …. together with Maser, they manage Belmar DPW

Hey Eugene. So if Epic is the contractor they must be paying the DPW for their work right? I’m confused. If the DPW is working on their regular salary, aren’t we paying for the work twice? If Epuc is getting 2 mill for the 10th ave pavilion shouldn’t that include THEM paying workers out of that money??

#12 …. the DPW can do anything … including purchase materials and cross-subsidize labor.

My question is more about who’s paying for their labor. Not sure what cross subsidize means.

Cross-Subsidize, what a joke and another scam pulled on the taxpayers of Belmar. These are state level contract tactics which Epic must have educated our mayor on. So now our DPW is subsidizing the construction as Epic brings home the money. How about another $100,000 bonus to Epic for another job well done.

Remember that the Borough awarded the contract for the Taylor Pavilion to the HIGH bidder. Unorthodox? That money could be funneled back to Belmar one way or another.
