Its all about the businesses, no quality of life for the residents, no mention of the ballooning debt and if we received all this revenue why haven’t taxes gone down
Build Senior Affordable Housing on the horizon; he wishes and will hoodwink all.
$250k covers Mike Campbell’s salary, OT and benefits. Big deal. Ask Depep to build low income senior housing on the 10th Ave. lot that you sold to him for $100k. Good luck with that. #1- Taxes will never go down, only up to pay off the notes due. Borrowed money spent employing Matt’s buddies’ companies, with a little extra in his “pawket”. What a shell game!
He just loves taking shots at Ken Pringle.
He ought to be thankful and more so to
Ken Pringle. He brought him into town
after he lost the Wall election and ran
Him here. Without Ken Pringle he would
not be where he is. His attitude took
care of the rest. You might say he is
even ungrateful.
What an idiot. Please somebody hire him…………………..Away far away
Hissoner could be a Beer Distributor Ambassador!
#4,5 & 6: Let’s get really serious, Belmarians, who would you want to lead you in an Actual Crisis, Bluto Doherty or Ike Pringle?
Most of us would prefer growing old in our existing homes …. not “cashing-out” and moving to elusive “affordable housing”.
Gene you remind me of Ovid.
I was not aware of any Senior housing crisis in Belmar. Using Seniors seems to be popular political talking point. Belmar already has a large building for politicly connected Seniors on 7th Avenue near the railroad tracks. Any empty nester Seniors can simply downsize and buy a smaller house in Belmar. I do not think the Seniors will appreciate the traffic and parking problems the proposed projects will generate anyway.I think this is going to have less to do with Seniors and more to do with who’s getting the contract. I know that’s just follow the money thinking and everyone knows that’s never accurate anyway.
#11. “Belmar already has a large building on 7th Ave. for polittically connected seniors.” Are you implying that every senior who lives in the building votes Democrat?” Not true.
Many of the seniors living in the building do not know the mayor’s name or
names of council members. Those that do vote haven’t a clue what’s going on in Belmar. They are persuaded to vote for so and so…. The other residents are
unaffliated with a political party.
I appreciate it that bloggers would stop
making generalizations about seniors living at the senior building….
#11 No not all seniors are connected but I know for a fact that it helps.
