$250k covers Mike Campbell’s salary, OT and benefits. Big deal. Ask Depep to build low income senior housing on the 10th Ave. lot that you sold to him for $100k. Good luck with that. #1- Taxes will never go down, only up to pay off the notes due. Borrowed money spent employing Matt’s buddies’ companies, with a little extra in his “pawket”. What a shell game!

I was not aware of any Senior housing crisis in Belmar. Using Seniors seems to be popular political talking point. Belmar already has a large building for politicly connected Seniors on 7th Avenue near the railroad tracks. Any empty nester Seniors can simply downsize and buy a smaller house in Belmar. I do not think the Seniors will appreciate the traffic and parking problems the proposed projects will generate anyway.I think this is going to have less to do with Seniors and more to do with who’s getting the contract. I know that’s just follow the money thinking and everyone knows that’s never accurate anyway.

#11. “Belmar already has a large building on 7th Ave. for polittically connected seniors.” Are you implying that every senior who lives in the building votes Democrat?” Not true.
Many of the seniors living in the building do not know the mayor’s name or
names of council members. Those that do vote haven’t a clue what’s going on in Belmar. They are persuaded to vote for so and so…. The other residents are
    unaffliated with a political party.
I appreciate it that bloggers would stop
making generalizations about seniors living at the senior building….
