The mayor is a hypocrite and the sooner the council members realize that, the better for the whole borough. I like how they played so naive last night about pass-through money and influence money from big donors. And they live in NJ? I definitely do not buy their act. Maybe they should put down their smartphones and read the papers, especially archives about political corruption in this state.

#1. What goes around, comes around. Each of those “playing naïve ” have too much of a record of being complicit to ignore. They have all, 100% made their bed and will now be destined to lie for it.

Keep track of the lies, especially those which exclude statements made to the press. Verbal propaganda stated to gullible friends and neighbors are especially pernicious. Such deceptive people usually end up hanging themselves eventually, shamed when they are exposed as liars.

Had to laugh when I read the Coast Star that citizens of Belmar may have to watch out for undue influence of bar owners! That has been the case ever since Matt has been Mayor. And the pitiful Council that voted yes even when they have reservation! Belmar’s Mayor and council are pathetic. People deserve better.

We are going to petition this outrageous change of an ordinance specifically in place to serve Belmar residents. Hey Matt the joke around town is do we vote to get you out, or let you loose and face the consequences or all you secret deals, favors and false promises.
