Doherty will squeeze every cent he could from Lake Como. Good luck in years to come LC.
Shades of the 12 o’clock close. Lae como, remember what happened back qthen? The cretins figured out it was cheaper to drink on theirs, yours and my lawns, get boxed and then go out at 11pm to eventually puke all over helpless Lake Como and Belmar. Some just set up bars in their rentals and invited ^#!รท=# charging cover charges. Let the buyer beware people. You are being bought and sold a bill of false merchandise.
I’m voting ‘YES’
“YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH”
The people of South Belmar / Lake Como need to wake up! Former Mayor Mike Ryan was the beginning of the this whole problem. He was such a great Mayor that had zero tax increases for years while he balanced the budget with “municipal welfare” from the state of New Jersey. He never wanted to raise any extra money with even a small tax increase. He was only thinking about himself and getting re-elected. Never thinking about the people of Lake Como and the future of the town AND guess who sat right next to him for 8 of those years…..Brian Wilton (Matt’s best buddy). Gov. Christie comes into office and changes the game. Gov mandates a 2% cap on taxes and the game changes. Now Lake Como can’t get any money from the state and can only raise taxes 2%. So what does Mike Ryan & Brian Wilton do??? Nothing! They don’t bother to raise 2% a year on taxes and protect their residents and town. They give everyone raises and don’t protect the town. They give out the money and don’t bring enough in. No “nest egg”, just a big “goose egg”. Brian Wilton & Mike Ryan are the only 2 people to blame in this whole thing. The 2 of them sat there and let the entire borough, police and DPW administration run a muck. No control, just spend, spend, spend. No consequences, no control. NOW Wilton is holding a leaky bag of s*#% from irresponsible public administration they watched and let happen. NOW Wilton wants Lord Matt to bail him out by selling out the the Lake Como Police.
Vote YES and save the police, save Lake Como and then ask for the resignation of Wilton and any other council member who was backing this BS plan. Vote YES!
Bravo #4. Short-sighted fiscal planning plus too much credit and too little cash lead to disaster – eventually. “Hey, Nero, lend me your fiddle. I am starting to smell smoke,” say the mayors from fantasy island.
#4 Again good try. Vote NO and send the public workers out. Somebody has to start !!!!
