I said it once and I’ll say it again, lay off the lazy DPW workers that don’t do anything around town. You have 4 men who only maintain landscaping, pick up leaves and do snow plowing. Get rid of the DPW before you give away the police department.

Kirk out in a golf cart or a DPW truck ANYTIME something needs fixing. All that says is you can’t trust your employees. Speaking of this past snow storm. The same business administrator/manager hired private plows/ mostly landscaping services with their private trucks to plow Rhode Island Point and many part timers to shovel out drives after the fact. I am sure that wasn’t cheap.
Well I know that the guy from Public Works that use to plow that route for the last 10 years did it perfectly. This was the first year that he didnt plow the point because in May the mayor forced him to resign because he was going to blow the whistle on the Home By Summer scam.
#5 He was an employee by the name of Shaun. He knew that the was wrong doing with the Home By Summer scam and when it was brought up the Mayor said the Mike Campbell was to fire Shaun.
#3 – For your general information the
senior lunch was not a gift from these elected officials it was up and running long before they were in office. It was a social group that brought Seniors out of their homes in the winter season.
C.Sharrock and P.Provenzano were the
the backbone of the group. It was a neat and clean affair with lunch games dancing and entertainment local merchants donated food and beverages on occasion. We went enjoyed and had a good time. Now if you can make something out of that knock your
self out.
