A legal case could certainly be made by the owners of the Waterfront Pavilion. They have invested in Belmar, pay a great deal in taxes , then suddenly a major competitor for weddings, banquets built with public funds shows up. Merri-Makers made no capital investment, no skin in the game, pays no real estate taxes, maintenance and now takes their hard-earned business away. Not a level playing field and truly a travesty.

With all the seemingly shady goings on with this building from day 1, isn’t it great that one of the honored guests at the ribbon cutting this spring was NJ’s own indicted Senator Robert Menendez. ADMIN – can you please post the picture of Menendez at the pavilion ribbon cutting at our building? The corruption trial for Menendez is about to begin despite his pleas for special treatment.

The presence of Senator Menendez was perfect for the ceremony, kinda put his “blessing” on the place. Doesn’t something just seem a bit “off” about that?
