For two years running, The mayor appointed six people to Belmar’s Tourism Commission in VIOLATION of II.Administration-3-2. The Ordidance clearly states that it is a commission of FIVE to be in compliance for the NJ statute allowing for local tourism commissions. Brian Magovern is a voting member, but he is not qualified to be. 1 member under the ordinance must be a member of the Chamber of Commerce, I don’t believe any are. The other 4 must be “licensees in the borough of Belmar. four are but not Magovern.
