In Taxes!
From today’s Press:
LACEY — A solar-energy program that was expected to generate $1 million per year for the township’s school district will instead likely result in higher school taxes.
A sharp decline in the solar-energy credit market is expected to bring in only $200,000, down $800,000.
That revenue drop has residents facing a possible 9.5-cent increase in the school tax rate — a rise that Mayor David Most said could cost the average homeowner an extra $300 a year.
