It’s time to rid Belmar of these 3: Matt: stay at home Dad who never had real job, acting OT Chief Huisman & Colleen: a human being with zero people skills. Now is the time…..wake up people, they are destroying our beautiful Belmar……and to the Lifeguards stay united…..Game On…..have a nice Summer….
H-man at Quantico?? HaHa. The FBI should stop wasting their valuable resources entertaining end-of-their career, has been, Police Chiefs of 20 something man departments, and spend more time following up on tips. Sounds like a vacation for H-man on the taxpayers tab. Disturbing.
Dave, this comes down to piss poor management. Matt is doing damage control because he’s trying to save himself a new lawsuit or two, maybe three. Harry & his boys have pushed around a lot of people and they’re finally tired of it. Harry has abused a lot of people with his bad temper.
I’m sure Matt & the Chief find this solution better than having it publicly come out that his supervisors are abusing JR guards verbally.
Maybe the Stay at Home Dad aka Matt & the queen of mean Colleen can call the FBI and ask them to show the acting OT Chief how to place traffic cones along the waterfront to prevent swimmers from going in the ocean when they can’t get Lifeguards. He can move the cones with the tides and steal OT from the citizens of Belmar, what a scam. That guy wouldn’t know a crime unless he saw it on TV. I’m sure his family is proud of him……Game on….have a nice Summer……

GAME ON- Finally someone that speaks and understands my language. History 101, Several years ago Matt and Wilton, in prepping for their (failed) Freeholder bids, and to bail out South Belmar, decide to lay off 8 veteran experienced Police Officers and reduce the combined compliment of 30 Officers down to 24. Matt replaces the 8 with 5 (H-man asked for 1 more, more on that later) hand picked choices at lower salaries. Matt claims it’s added revenue from S. Belmar, Wilton reduces S. Belmar tax burden and all is good, right? Not. The people of Belmar now have a reduced level of protection, services, on the streets with NO net increase in revenues as: #1- H-man is handed a blank check on overtime,#2-H-man adds an additional un-needed Captain’s position thereby reducing an additional Officer on the street. Matt continues to reduce safety concerns by taking on First Aid and Fire duties, again to help out failing S. Belmar. Fast forward to the tragic drownings of two Belmar children. Perhaps, Perhaps, maybe Perhaps if there was that one addition officer on the street in Belmar that day, these could have been prevented. Matt tries to make things right and names our newly renovated ($1M) park after the children, only to be rightfully sued by the parents the following day (he must have got the heads up). Now H-man at the time was next in line to take over the helm at the PD so I’m sure he was basically told to go along with the program. Well now, whether Matt went to church and atolled, which I doubt, he is placing the blame on our fine Lifeguard program. Can anyone say damage control. To GAME ON and others out there that continue to speak up I say this, again, vote these people out. Speak up at meetings as do Dave, Katrina and the late Joy Desanctis did. Speak to your friends and neighbors and get the word out. We succeeded in getting Walsifer in, although he has been a disappointment and will be the next to go. Brennan, the Belmar Democrats and the Russians stole the last election from Josh. To Matt, C-lady and H-man I say this: why don’t you apply for a summer lifeguard job. Put on a bathing suit and practice in Matt’s backyard. Seems like an easy job, heck how hard could it be, they only pay $10 an hour. I learned a long time ago not to criticize people doing a job I have no idea how, or have the gumption to do.
The beach sign does not reflect the borough’s code, i.e., no swimming or bathing when there are no lifeguards on duty. What it says is just an invitation or dare. Can the acting police chief read?
Funny how Kooky Colleen is talking to the press now. Guess Dirty Doherty stuck his foot in his mouth too many times. They are ALL liars! They ALL need to go! They have ruined this town!
This Coleen Connolly is an embarrassment and a very poor actress. As for the Acting Chief, I suppose he is still acting on that overtime accumulation. What a mess we are all allowing to occur.
“The mayor is the chief executive officer, centralizing executive power. The mayor directs the administration structure, appointing and removing of department heads. While the council has legislative power. The mayor has the veto power. The council does not oversee daily operations. I guess rhe stay at home Dad never read the definition of his job. I don’t know why the acting cone Man fired the Lifeguard supervisors, what a joke…..Game on….have a nice Summer…
Colleen Connolly is going for her CFO license. We must not allow her to become Belmar’s CFO – a tenured job. We’d have her forever. We need someone who has no political motivations (or has no motivations to hide her boss’s crimes). Does anyone know someone with a CFO license wanting a job? It may become available soon. Let’s be ready.
How will the current Belmar Administration’s decision to potentially gut the Lifeguard Water Safety program affect our exposure for liability as it pertains to for any injuries, deaths that could be sustained by the invitees who had been lured to the Belmar beach? Do we not have an obligation to provide beachgoers with seasoned, experienced Ocean Lifeguards who have qualified professional beach managers to lead them?
I think insurance has much to do with this shakeup. The borough has to pay for liability coverage – how many more lawsuits will break Belmar’s bank, so to speak? Getting rid of tried and true staff is stupid, especially those entrusted with public safety.
#19 I agree I can’t imagine anyone paying off the debt we are carrying
or even wanting or agreeing to. There are lawsuits pending and more will be coming in. What I can’t understand why are the people that are responsible for this mess not bring sued individually?

Bullticky. The lead in is at least
blatant misinformation by BA and could be libelous in fact.

I guess you can get that sort of misleading title when your wife owns a PR firm?

Walmart now pays $14.11/hour minimum to employees that work 40 hours/week

#15. I can assure you that many many many lawsuits are sure to come.

It sure BOGGLES the mind
Next is Bankruptcy.
