The 2017 year-end prepaid property taxes encouraged by the mayor can be applied to financing these dubious construction improvements. If someone owns a house with a garage and driveway, why should they be potentially charged down the road for a garage for visitors to an over-developed town? Belmar is operating on credit with increasing debt, the way it looks. The piper will have to be paid eventually, when the mayor is long gone doing damage somewhere else. Call him the Hit and Run Mayor. And while I am being so negative, will there be any effort to improve beach safety, for example, like correcting the signs forbidding swimming and bathing when no lifeguards are present?
Safety of residents didn’t make the regime’s priority list …. shared service police, a fire sale, and first-aid volunteers that are tired of caring for drunks.
When the leader says “Do More with Less” …. sometimes, you only get “Less”
What’s more important? A garage for bar and restaurant patrons or preventing drownings at the shore? (OK, people will do dumb things, but…) The stooges on the dais will pass whatever the mayor wants, even the one with young children. Really makes one wonder about priorities for the good of residents or possible personal gain. There will be an election this Fall. Change is imperative.
The demorats will come out in full force in November 2018. No change possible in this town.
#4 – Good morning sir. Let’s not look at it this way. There’s plenty of tyme for Matt to stub his toe. He’s fully capable of doing something dumb at exactly the wrong moment.
Call Frank, Kip and Bill. Ask them who you should vote for in November, 2018!
#5 Right, it ain’t over. Lots can happen.
