with a typical ‘mutual aid agreement’, the responding towns retain at least 1 fire company to protect their own interests

with the new ‘shared service agreement’, Belmar dispatches all 3 fire companies

this deal should be called a ‘shared RISK agreement’

It is not “somebody else’s fire”.

It is a fire in Lake Como and Belmar agreed (FOR A PRICE)to provide Police, Emergency Services, and Fire services to Lake Como.

Is there any way you could find out how many times Belmar had to provide the services to Lake Como?

Does anyone else out there ever wonder why in the world a town like Belmar would bend over(literally) backwards to help out a town, who I remind you not too long ago removed the stigma of South “Belmar” from their name, that has NOTHING TO OFFER. At the end it boils down to this: Reduced services for Belmar to subsidize Lake Como’s tax base. Again, what price do you place on your life. Apparently that question never arises when these decisions are made.

#3- Just one more department (LC-DPW) and the puppet Wilton will hand over LC to the puppet master Matt. Then Matt can collect all LC taxes. Wait for it….

This is the second water pressure “problem” in a couple weeks. The first one was in the middle of the night about two weeks ago. I hope the fix this time IS a fix.

Blame LC mayor Wilton for all the outsourcing of LC services!!!!!

When a request to take over the LC Police Dept.was made, Wall and Spring Lake said no thanks. Belmar said YES!

IT WAS HIS IDEA. Raising taxes for these services would mean a defeat for him in the next election. Instead of raising taxes, he laid off policemen and outsourced the service.
