Private property being converted from a church to a civic center without a Planning or Zoning Board public hearing.

Just another example of Belmar residents being deprived of any say in their community …. here comes Taylor #2

It seems that all the plans were made for the church to become the senior citizens building by the town mayor etc and make sure the seniors would never enjoy the Taylor building as it was replaced for the citizens of Belmar. Call it bait and switch. How long will the church hold on to their property?

This is a clever “bait and switch.” The Merry Maker Building at Ocean and Fifth is for the elite, not the seniors. The repurposed church is no longer a church, so do the Methodists who own it pay property taxes now so the borough gets some revenue for it? That would make sense to me. The membership fee is hokey; that wee sum would hardly make up for thousands of dollars in property tax. I smell a rat somewhere.

Avon by the Sea turned their church conversion property into beautiful, tax paying property, but then again that’s Avon by the Sea.

Aren’t you the same 84 year old, widow and life long democrat who, at Doherty’s direction, was cast out as a Democrat Election Board worker?

What did you ever do to deserve such disrespect?
