Well Belmar Dems consider each and every one of us as deplorable. So when members of “the element” reach higher levels of participation they graduate to the level of a deplorable.
I’m very disappointed in Trump so far. He hasn’t gotten us out of the UN yet. He hasn’t done away with the Dept.of Ed. yet. His list of banned countries was much too short. He should have put at least forty more countries on it. He hasn’t fired at least 250,000 fedgov “workers” yet. I hope he improves in the next few days.
I home the Dems keep up their temper tantrums, and hold and support the riot demonstrations so the Libertarian Party can be THE second party and Democratic Party a distant third!
I am looking forward to the Belmar Dems endorsement of Gorsuch since he has a demonstrated track record of supporting religious freedom which they now champion.
Justice Department’s #1 client is the Constitution, not the White House. She was a career official for decades. She was following her best judgement. Everyone dissing her is being political. She was just trying to do her job.
#6 No if she was trying to do her job she would have done what was told of her. That simple. Getting paid ? Then do your job. The demo rats have nothing left but hostility.
#6 – Sir, she violated her oath to the Constitution. Such people aren’t just doing a “job.” She received the same treatment as the air traffic controllers who President Reagan fired for the same reason. If you don’t want that to happen to you, you don’t ever raise your hand and take such an oath – simple.
I am a rubber stamp for my boss in that it is my job to implement his directives. The AG is not an elected position, he or she derives power from the president they serve and their job is to enforce the president’s directives. The correct and honorable thing to do would have been to resign.
You don’t want to perform your job then you resign. If it is (your job) repugnant to you or your understanding of the job then you resign and run for office on your own terms and values. Enough said. Captain can’t run the ship without a crew.
If you read her comments on her decision she considered resigning but didn’t want to delegate this to her subordinate. She did what she thinks is right knowing it would get her fired and ridiculed by nameless internet trolls. In my book that’s called integrity and takes a lot of guts. Unlike posting using fake names.
Yates and Matt perfect together. Funny how I immediately thought of Lawless Matt with his petition shenanigans, a situation so similar in nature. Matt was presented with accepting a directive (petition) he did not agree with. He, in his not so infinite un-wisdom, took it upon himself to become Judge, with a lawyer he could tell what to do, to decide whether something was constitutional or not. That is not Matt’s job. Neither is it Yates’ job. That’s what Judges get paid to do. Perhaps Yates should apply to fill the SCOTUS vacancy??? POLITICS. Another cry baby liberal Democrat tactic. Get over it for the next eight years and watch our country get back on track from the ruins of the Obama experiment. The liberal bubble has burst and the pendulum is swinging back the other way.
Her job is to uphold and defend our country’s laws – as Sessions believes – NOT to do the president’s bidding. I truly admire her. The majority of the comment on this issue on this site is discouraging, has nothing to do with the larger issue, has nothing to do with Matt’s BS, and devalues the work this site has done to hold our local officials’ feet to the fire.

I remind everybody that Donald Trump received almost 1600 votes in Belmar.

Ah she ought to be a rubber stamper right Tom?

They don’t teach integrity in law school.

You got me there Gene.

#7 Just because I’m old you call me cranky? You may never make it to my age. JERK. RESPECT OLDER PEOPLE
Sir, the administrator decides what “devalues the work” of the site. If he’s displeased, he can end a certain conversation at any time.
